Radiologic Technology II

Students will identify the basic components and functions associated with radiologic equipment and develop a scientific understanding of the technical factors and physical concepts required to produce and evaluate quality images. They will practice the use of radiation protection techniques, such as the as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle, and explore imaging modalities. Students will also investigate career opportunities and the processes to obtain and maintain professional certifications within the field of imaging sciences.

Course Sequences

A combination of this course and those below, equivalent to two 36-week courses, is a concentration sequence. Students wishing to complete a specialization may take additional courses based on their career pathways. A program completer is a student who has met the requirements for a CTE concentration sequence and all other requirements for high school graduation or an approved alternative education program.
